How to use Microsoft Teams
Installing Microsoft Teams
Teams can be used as a web application, navigating to http://teams.office.com and authenticating with your institutional credentials (firstname.lastname@polito.it for faculty and assegnisti, Smatricola@studenti.polito.it for PhD and students in general - after activating their account on the didattica website), but installing the app is necessary to take advantage of all the features of Microsoft Teams.
Installation can be done in many ways:
- downloading Teams from Microsoft, Google, or Apple store
- downloading Teams from the dedicated Office product page at https://products.office.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app
- clicking on the lower left corner Download icon
, when you are logged in the web app
Authentication
You have to log in with Polito institutional credentials. On first access you may be asked for a telephone number and/or an alternative email account.
Contact 5050@polito.it in case of authentication problems.
Students (also PhD students) will be able to access the platform authenticating with their @studenti.polito.it account, after accepting the conditions of use on their Teaching Portal page. For support contact office365.AreaIT@polito.it
